Youth Empowerment Centre – 2025 Summer Youth Internship Program

Empowering Youth to Lead, Learn, and Serve

The Youth Empowerment Centre is excited to launch its 2025 Summer Youth Internship Program, a 6-week immersive experience for youth aged 14 to 15 who are passionate about contributing to their communities and building the capacity to turn high ideals into meaningful action.

This internship is designed to help young people cultivate essential skills while engaging in meaningful community service. Interns will plan and facilitate children's camps, organize community events, and take part in conversations and activities that explore what it means to build a vibrant and united neighbourhood.

Interns will work alongside mentors and peers to:

• Learn teamwork and project planning skills
  
  

• Develop leadership and communication abilities
  
  

• Organize and support activities for younger children and junior youth
  
  

• Participate in community service projects
  
  

• Reflect on their role in contributing to community well-being
  
  

Each intern will be paired with a community mentor who will provide support, guidance, and help explore educational and professional aspirations.

🗓 Program Dates: July 7 – August 13, 2025
🕒 Schedule: Monday to Wednesday, approx. 15 hours/week
💸 Stipend Provided to all participants
📍 Location: Youth Empowerment Centre, 1020 St-Laurent Bld, Ottawa.
